Azerothica MMO – Update #003

This is just a small status update. I’ve not  worked a lot on the MMO in the last month as I’ve been waiting for the new update to come out on Atavism. The update is now out however, I’m still wondering if I should wait a little bit yet as there will be minor patches comming out and possibly a core version of the mmo plugin for Unity, without the demo scene and all of that. This means a fresh start with the core version of atavism and possibly then I can start picking up development again.

Also I want to point out that I’ve purchased a 365 day maintenance plan https://atavismonline.com/index.php/home/atavism/atavism-maintenance-plans/atavism-advanced-maintenance-plan-365-days which means I’ll get updates for the plugin for the next 365 days.

There are still many little bugs that needs to be fixed, one in particular is that mobs still aggro you even though you are on a flying mount, it behaves as if you were grounded and can hit you even if you’re 100 meters above the mob. The server simply does not  track z value in 3d space, only X and Y (ground level).

However I can say that the future of the atavism mmo plugin looks promising with many nice features to come and bug fixes =)

Azerothica MMO – Update #002

It’s been a little while since the last update but I’m currently waiting for a new update on the mmo engine to come out in the middle of this month. Though I have been playing a little around with particles inside of Unity and recently purchased a neat Particle Package on the Unity Asset store that I think could be pretty cool to have inside of my mmo.

 

 

 

 

The new update will include:

  • Added social plugin – friend list with ability to add or delete player to/from that list, but also with context menu where a player will be able to invite to a group or to a guild.
  • Added Single Player Instance, so each player when entering such an instance will be able to build on it and these buildings will be something like his “private instance”.
  • Added Guild Instance, adequate to Single Player Instance but for Guilds, so only guild members will be able to enter to that instance and if they do, then they will enter their “private guild instance”, for example, to build buildings inside it, like special portals, houses, merchants, storage of farms.
  • Added dynamic weather system for day & night cycles.

Azerothica MMO - Update #001

I’m thinking I’ll give out a status on the current progress, to not make it feel too empty and unknown.

Currently I have updated the game with a new update of the MMO engine, originally it was running with the v2.6.1 that has now been updated to v2.7

In doing so I’ve encountered quite many new difficulties that need to be dealth with, namely that the chat no longer works, I also need to redo some vendor items and mounts.

The good news however is that Guild & Banking system is now implemented, and also finally a logout button so that you no longer have to exit the game client to switch to another character, yey!

I also need to redo the UI elements because of the new engine update to v2.7. All of this will be done with time and I’ll do my best to make everything work as intended.

New UI system (looks plain and simple, needs a retouch of course) Dalaran inn coffee shop (just testing with old v2.6.1 UI here) Dalaran inn coffee shop again.

Azerothica MMO

I’ve been working on this for a little while, to see if it is a possible thing to do. I’m not sure how far I can take this but I was thinking of sharing this to the public by now. It is still in the very early stages, and a lot of things are bugging, and not working as intended but at the least the multiplayer part is working. I’ve also made a tumblr profile, but I’m not sure how much I’ll be using that as I’ve got my own site here with my blog. You can find the link to that here: https://esidien.tumblr.com/

My mmo isn’t open to the public and I’m not sure when it will be. But you can rest assure that when it is, I will make a post here when it is open to the public. I also don’t want to get too much hype because I dont want to set too high expectations. I simply don’t know how far I can get this wow porn mmo game going. It’s been a thing I’ve wanted ever since I started my own site back in 2011.

I am planning to have old models (as I still quite love those) and new WOD models and also Bangfri models if I can get them to work with animations within Unity, I still have to learn how to do animation retargeting.

Here’s some screenshots to see how it looks like as of the moment. Though keep in mind that not all UI elements have been finished, and some images are earlier then others and might not have the newest UI changes displayed. It is being made from scratch using Unity 3D, not a wow private server.

 

Azerothica 6th Anniversary

Today the 16th of June 2017 marks Azerothicas 6th Anniversary. It’s been a fun nawty 6 years so far and hopefully many more to come. I’d like to thank all of you visitors for visiting my site and all your feedback throughout the years. Don’t forget there’s also content on my forum if you have yet to visit it. New Theme 2017

Hey everyone,

As you may notice i’ve made a new 2017 theme for the site, darker and green, and it should also be a bit more mobile friendly, with a responsive site theme. Although it isn’t 100% perfect for mobile, its a lot better then before =)

Recently i’ve been asked about the status of my Azerothica game on my forum, and I thought I might as well post it here, you can of course also read about it on my forum under General Chat sub forum.

Also soon on the 16th of June Azerothica will have its 6th Anniversairy, my site was created on June 16th 2011, its been a good 6 years so far, and I’m sure lots of you have had a lot of nawty fun in these 6 years =)

So i been to this site from time to time and noticed that the game hasnt had any updates or anything about it.

Can you give us a Update on the game on how much has been progressed so far into making it?

I haven’t really touched it since late 2015. I suppose I lost interest but also been busy with other things taking my attention. Surely I still wouldn’t mind seeing it progress.
 
However to give some kind of update regarding Azerothica, basically i’ll be using the Unity 3D engine. This is what I used since 2011 for experimentation. I’ve actually bought a plugin for Unity called Atavism. Today they have changed their business model slightly. To begin with they had as far as I remember, a 70 dollar version which gave access to hosting your own mmo on your own server with their license, and also cloud based solution where you pay monthly fees. I managed to buy the own hosting version for a mere 70 us dollars a few years back. Today the plugin has matured more and prices are much different. They no longer offer cloud based solutions, however all of the early access buyers of the plug in, have now been upgraded to the new “Atavism On Premises” license which is worth of 399 USD.
 
Atavism OP gives you the ability to use their plugin in unity and have 500 concurrent users connected to your game at any given time.

The other Atavism license ATAVISM 2 OP ULTRA is kind of the same as the cheaper 399 USD version, except that this has unlimited amount of concurrent connections to the game. That means an unlimited amount of players can connect, theres no limit of 500 players to the server as the 399 dollar version, but to be fair 500 users is more then enough for now at this stage. I’m fairly happy I got the plugin at the early stage of only costing me 70 USD.
 
Also Atavism has a lot of information on their plugin and a lot of support too.

In short, this plugin will allow me to create an online MMO more easily because a lot of the elements that an MMO needs is already made with this plugin so that I do not need to start from scratch.

At the moment I do need someone who has experience with animation to assist in fixing some animation issues on the wow characters. I hope this shed some light on the current status of the azerothica mmo, it is right now on a halt and not really any development happening, but looking back, I remember some of the experiments i did alreaedy back in 2011 when i started my site, Unity is a nice game engine and fairly easy to get into =)

Azerothicas 5th anniversary

Today marks the 5th anniversary of my site. Since its beginning it was actually only ment as a personal site for my own naughty screenmanipulation pictures. However over the time it evolved into something a little bigger. Other artists have joined, though most of them are now inactive. Over time nude patches were also added to my site.

Even though there isn’t too much activity happening on my site as of right now, there is still some activity on the forum. Boggtroll is back and will be editing some more models for both my nude patch and his own. I have also started to make my own “armory”, with my own armor edits. However this is not something I work on often, but the armor edits will be released now and then on the forums nude/clothing patch section. When I have made a lot more edits, I will at some point in the future compile them into one large armory patch.

I am also thinking of doing NPC edits, though this task is a lot harder as the filenames of the NPC textures are totally random, there’s no ID between the NPC model or the texture name which makes it a bit of a puzzle looking through a few thousand textures contained in one single folder.

With all of this said, I wish whoever visits my site, that they will have a lot of naughty enjoyment, and more of that in the future =)

Update 2 – March 08th 2015:

  • Fixed Goblin Female sliding in the model change nude patch.
  • Texture fix for Goblin female in non model edit nude patches (hairy & shaved)
  • Added Install Instructions to non model change nude patch zip files (hairy & shaved).

Update 1 – february 28th 2015: Fixed wow exe for 6.1.0-19702 has been added.

The HD blood elf skins have been added to the nude patch for Warlords of Draenor. Just download the nude patch from the download section. Comparison images between old and new model(s) can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/Tsx3Z

The old models still have model changes (in the model change nude patch), just not the new WoD models yet. A friend of mine will do the edits, but he’s currently busy. Eventually it will be made for all the new race models. So for now you have to live with non model change on new WoD models for both kind of patches.

Besides this there are still some other models that may need some retouching but i just do not have the time at the moment, however I wish everyone lots of naughty fun in WoW =)
