Stop using mods and arctium launcher on live wow immediately. A lot of people have received 180 day bans this morning, including myself yet they banned me for 1.5 years meaning 549 days, 3 times the amount. My mood right now is not the best I can tell you that.
As you read this you’ve probably been banned too, I feel you I really really do. I hope this is some sort of false flag alarm that got triggered because of botters and I’ll try appeal it but I really feel so bad at the moment and I think this length of my ban is way too long for what’s been done.

I hear from multiple sources that a lot of people are getting their bans reverted so check your email inbox, I can confirm that my ban was lifted and I can happily enjoy playing WoW again. It is even posted on wowhead.com that people are being unbanned, however I would still like to point out for your own safety’s sake, do not use the launcher, because this kind of clearly show’s the consequence if you get detected by the system.

i was banned this morning also, although i got an email just now telling me that it was an error, apologized and lifted the ban
I got a 183 day ban (six months) too. WAY too high in anyone’s opinion considering it’s a nude mod, not a bot for gathering materials for crafting. Patches like these don’t give the player any kind of advantage at all.
Esidien, I respect you for everything you do here and I respect you feel down about it (understatement of the year) but please do keep us updated with how your appeal goes on and also, how the rest of us can make an appeal too. I wish you much love and luck.
I have been banned till december 2020 for first time from launcher and they said addons i supposedly had from twitch
Came here to say the same thing. 6 month ban and this is the cause. I’d love to know how they found out as i havent played in 3 weeks. I honestly thought it was a spam attack till i saw it all over FB causing me to log on to the battlenet app and saw it was legit. i’ve deleted the launcher and sent in an appeal, just to see what they say. (i have two accounts, EU and US and only US has the ban)
ultimately, we knew the risks, we made the choice, it really isnt your fault.
McGeek, please let us all know how this goes. I think most of us agree we were being naughty… but when people get a 24 hour ban for in game stalking, harassment, character name offenses etc yet we get SIX MONTHS for seeing some boobs it seems unfair.
I think we are all looking for a solution as WoW is such a big part of our lives. All the people I’ve spoken too are more upset, confused and unsure what to do more than anything else. Most of us don’t know HOW to appeal bans. What if you appeal it and they decide to add on more time or something? It’s really scary.
so we pay for this every month, sink untold amount of hours and real world cash in this game, and get banned for boobs. im starting to really despise blizzard.
Blizzard recently sent a cease and desist to Rexx a while ago for his lewd art that he’s known for.
Attacking an otherwise benign, yet lewd, community only will harm themselves the most in the long run. They’ll be seen as puritanical and anti-consumer.

I got hit as well. I didn’t know what it was and haven’t been told from the GM that I contacted. I stated my case, which I didn’t think of the launcher, to be honest. I assumed it was my ability macros and possibly rare tracking addons, since I AFK and basically farm older rares while doing college work or streaming something to watch.
Specifically, the ban is for “botting.” At least that’s what I got, but I have been using this laucher for a long while now just for the extra spice when playing or RPing.
Reply from the GM is that they will investigate my case and will look into why I was banned, since no actual reason was given.
If it is this launcher than I’m going to state that a 6-month ban is far too extreme for a lewd mod, especially when actual cheaters in the last ban which people were EXP boosting many character to 120 only either got a slap on the wrist, 1-3 day bans, where the streamers got 1-3 month bans. They were actually exploiting by comparison.
It’s weirdly freeing from my WoW addiction I only used it twice I believe and yeah it was funny but wasn’t for me and I fall under that 6 month ban too. Ah well
I’m really sorry to anyone affected by this, it’s really not fun. I did receive a responce on my ticket stating:
Your suspension has been upheld but will be lifted on the 26 October 2019. You were in violation with our Code of Conduct.
Yet when I look at my battle net launcher it still says 26 October 2020 and if trying to logon it says 548 days. So this is also confusing me. If any of you guys are appealing, i’m curious to hear how it turned out for you.

I do not know, try talk with friends or some forum on Darknest fantasy erotica, i think they are talking a lot about it over there too.
You can maybe try appeal too, tell them that you are very sorry and that you didn’t mean to harm them, that you are sorry to use nude mod and promise them that you will never use it again.
Well that explains the Ban I got and I am upset about this, just like most of you folks. The reason they said for me was for either cheat, or bot the exploits the game. If the reason is this then how the f dose it cheat or anything else of the like? But Esidien do not worry but yes we do have to stand together on this.

I’m sitting here in my chair at the moment thinking to myself, and I keep having this long 1.5 year number in my head. As weird as it may sound, I kinda wish it was only 6 months like others. But that means that it will not be useable for the rest of BFA.
I hope others that are in this mental pain are somewhat okay, many of us have played this game for many.. many years and it is a very huge part of our lives and social interactions with other people.
I know it is just a game but while you have technically broken the ToS, and we know this, I’m thinking if the length of the ban was nessasary for this long, because even if it was 3 months or 1 month or even for that matter 1 week, something like this would be a warning enough to me at least and turn this off and never ever using this again.
Guys, check your accounts. Apparently all bans have been reverted. I’ve had numerous confirmations right now. It appears that blizz motherfuckers actually staged all this to frighten you off from ever thinking of using any sort of mods. Which is a shame really though… I guess this will spark more interest in custom servers, like RPH.
Hope you all got your bans lifted though. I’ve read through several responses to people’s appeals and I can say that blizzard CS approached people with disrespect. I wasn’t hit by the banwave myself but I was outraged enough to consider sending a rant letter depanding professionalism from their employers.

Honestly, if they claim it was an “error” that’s total bullshit. It looks like staged action and I don’t think they really care about playerbase not to pull this off. Whoever was brain behind this action. Well let’s hope he or she doesn’t choke on own saliva while laughing ass off. Given all bans were indeed lifted it would be sad to see a casualty on the blizz side.
But if it was an error… Well the should get a scapegoat for people to beat. And perhaps whole of CS team should get some sort of training in soft skills.
So my appeal basically said I was shit out of luck, they reviewed it and I was found wanting.
Now I get an email saying it was an error and all is well.. wtf
